Bhatkal: A 26-Year-Old bike rider died on the way to hospital after he was critically injured in a tragic road accident that occurred in between the bus and the bike on Bailur NH-66 in Murdeshwar of Bhatkal taluk on 1st November, Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ramesh Hanumanthappa Kailur of Gadag district.

Sources informed that the incident occurred when the bike was on the way to Karkala from Manki, while the bus was heading towards Honnavar from Bhatkal. 

The impact of collision initially made the bike rider Ramesh sustain severe injuries, after which he was immediately rushed to Bhatkal govt hospital for initial treatments. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries in the ambulance while on the way towards Udupi hospital for advanced treatment. The body was then brought back to Bhatkal govt hospital for post-mortem process.

About the deceased, it was said that he was employed in Karkala. A case has been registered in the Murdeshwar police station.
