Bhatkal: A Life guard saved a tourist who was drowning in the deep waters of the Arabian sea at Murdeshwar on Sunday, June 17, 2018.

According to Murdeshwar Police, a tourist Yuvraj kallanu mayinanna (36) hailing from Srirampura, Bengaluru was struggling to swim to the coast amid huge waves in the sea when a life guard named Jairam Kuppa Harikanth noticed him and dived in the water to bring him to the shore.

Local fishermen Waman Harikantha and Manjunath Babu Harikantha who were on the boat also rushed to help the drowning tourist and succeeded in saving him.

Local people praised the efforts made by all three members who rescued the tourist.
