National level seminar on 'Taxation' by Anjuman Commerce department on 4th Feb in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: The department of commerce of Anjuman arts, science, commerce and PG center will be organizing a day-long national level seminar on "Entrepreneurial Innovation and Taxation-Recent Trends in Indian Business Scenario" on 4th February, Sunday at college conference hall in Anjumanabad, Bhatkal.

The event will be inaugurated by Dr. Muhammad Saleem A Lahori, Director of AIMS Pune, Maharashtra at 9:30 am, while President of AHM, Mr. Abdur Rahim Jukaku will preside over the event. The chief guest will be Shri Siddappaji RN, additional commissioner of income tax, Mangaluru and Udupi. The other guests accompanying will be professor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, Dr. NI Mulla; Director of district industrial center, Karwar, Shri Ramanand Naik; Assistant commissioner of SGST, Kumta, Shri Bharateshkumar and ITO Karwar, Shri Nandan Aigal. The resource persons in the seminar will be Dr. MM Ali, director of SIBER, Kolhapur; Dr. Shoukat Ali M Maghalamani, HOD of Economics, JSS college Dharwad and Dr. LM Dani, Professor of commerce and management, Mumbai University. Shri Nandagopal Shenoy, FCA Mangalore will be a keynote speaker in the seminar.

This seminar is to understand the implications of the income tax and GST in the Indian Entrepreneurial Scenario. The objective of the seminar is to sensitize the participants to the diverse issues around the move towards Taxation and GST and the challenges ahead in implementing the dual GST model. Designed as an intensive one day program with multiple sessions, this seminar is to allow emerge entrepreneurs gain critical insight about the working of dual GST which has been introduced in India recently. Theme may encompass the emerging trends which have the potential to change the face and practice of indirect taxation regime in India.

In the technical sessions, Dr. N.I Mulla from Hyderabad and Shri Nandan Aigal from Karwar shall handle the session on the topic "Taxation and Entrepreneurship", while Dr. M.M Ali from Kolhapur will be addressing the session on "GST and its impact on tax burden".

The spot registration will also be entertained on the event date i.e on 4th Feb from 9 to 9:20 am.

The validictory program will be in the evening at 4:30 pm, which will be presided by AHM president Abdur Rahim Jukaku, while the chairman and MD of Hangyo Ice Creams Mr. Pradeep Pai will be the chief guest.
