Karwar: Kannada Sahitya Parishat taluk unit President Nagraj Harapanahalli exhorted media to imbibe presence of mind while disseminating news.

He was addressing a workshop on ‘Digital Media & Youth’, jointly organised by News Code Karnataka, Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Government PU College, at college premises, in Karwar, on Tuesday.

News Code App recently launched includes list of Kannada news applications, which provides information on happenings in rural areas and cities in order to create social and political awareness among youths, he said.

Delivering a special lecture on ‘Digital Media & Youth’, Times of India Reporter Deepak Shenoy called upon participants to exercise caution while using mobile apps and social media sites and not forward substantiated news that can cause harm to society.
