Ankola: Bemoaning that getting quality education has become privilege of moneyed class, MLC S V Sankanuru exhorted education experts, professors and students community to impress upon the governments to consider needs of underprivileged sections while framing new education policies.
Addressing a national seminar at Ankola’s Gokhale Centenary College, on Wednesday, Bengaluru’s National College of Law Registrar O V Nandimath said, “it was not enough if universities simply produced graduates. There was need to prepare necessary human resources required for development of nation”, he said.
In this regard, he said, though the gap between higher education and employment market was narrowing, research in the field of science however was not reaching the masses.
