Bengaluru: The draft electoral rolls for the Karnataka West and Southeast Graduates’ constituencies, as well as the Karnataka Northeast and Bengaluru Teachers’ constituencies, have been published, according to Yogeshwara S., Joint Chief Electoral Officer (Electoral Roll), Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka.
As per the schedule issued by the Election Commission of India, a public notification was released on September 30, with November 6 set as the last date for submitting applications in Form 18 or Form 19. Subsequently, the draft electoral rolls were published on November 25.
All eligible graduates and teachers may submit their claims and objections regarding the draft rolls from November 25 to December 10. The final electoral rolls will be published on December 30, he said.
According to the draft released on November 25, the Bengaluru Teachers’ Constituency has 21,496 registered voters. The Karnataka Northeast Teachers’ Constituency has 28,984 voters, while the Karnataka Southeast Graduates’ Constituency has 1,51,374 registered voters. In the Karnataka West Graduates’ Constituency, a total of 74,311 voters are registered.
The draft rolls are available at the offices of the Election Registration Officers, Regional Commissioners, Assistant Election Registration Officers, and District Election Officers. They can also be accessed on the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka: ceo.karnataka.gov.in, as well as on the respective websites of the Regional Commissioners and District Election Officers, the Joint CEO added in the release.
