Karwar: A 23-Year-Old truck cleaner Muhammad Asif succumbed to the critical injuries after a truck on which he was traveling in rammed into a boulder near Muduga region in the taluk.

The deceased is said to be the resident of Savanur of Haveri district.

Sources informed that the accident happened when the driver Nasir Ahmed lost the control of the truck and went on colliding a roadside boulder. They were on the way to Hubli from Karwar at the time of the accident. Both sustained injuries due to the collision. The seriously injured cleaner was boarded to Ankola hospital, but unfortunately, he breathed his last on the way.

Negligence and reckless driving from the truck driver are said to be as the reason for the accident.

A case has been registered in Karwar police station.
