Sirsi: ‘Walk for Harmony’ was taken out at Sirsi town on Saturday to promote communal harmony in Uttara Kannada district. Human rights activist MacWan Martin of Gujarat flagged off the rally after garlanding a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Bidki Bail. A convention was also held on the theme, ‘Our Constitution, Our Pride’. It was inaugurated by film actor Prakash Raj.

Prakash Raj said, “When I came here, the police advised me not to deliver provocative speech at the convention. I am not the one who delivers provocative speeches. There are others here who speak provocatively.”

“If I ask a question, a few call me a communist. No political leaders are good and I am not a spokesperson of any political party,” he claimed.
