Kundapur: An incident has been reported near Kakkunje cross on Friday, June 22, where a moving tanker entered into the courtyard of a roadside house after the driver lost the control of the vehicle. 

Sources informed that the accident happened when a petrol filled tanker was on the way towards Shivamogga from Mangaluru. The driver lost the control of the vehicle near Kakkunje cross in Haladi, which caused the incident to take place. The house belonged to Subraya Achari. 

It is reported that, since the tanker was moving at a normal speed, the major tragedy was averted as only very small quantity of petrol was spilled out as it collided with the compound wall.

In the incident, driver Mahesh sustained minor injuries. 

As the information was alerted, fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and were fruitful in bringing the truck back on road.
