PM Modi likely to visit Kumta on May 9 or 10

Kumta: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Kumta during the last days of campaigning for the upcoming May 12 Karnataka assembly elections, informed BJP district president KG Naik.

Speaking to presspersons, he said, Modi has already begun campaigning in constituencies in the Coastal region of Udupi district. On May 9 or 10, as a part of campaigning, he would address a public meeting in Kumta, as it is a central place for Uttar-Kannada district.

"The exact date of his arrival is yet to be finalized, but his visit to the district is confirmed", he informed.

Karnataka will go to polls on May 12 in an election that is expected to set the tone for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
