Mangaluru: The Pocso court found a man guilty of sexually assaulting a minor and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs 26,000. 

The convict is Raju from Shivamogga. A relative of the rape survivor, Raju was staying with the family. He had repeatedly sexually assaulted the minor when none was at home.

The incident had come to light in December 2015 and a case was registered at Women’s Police Station.

The court also ordered the accused to pay a compensation of Rs three lakh to the survivor.
