Karwar: membAllowing the JD(S) members to hold a meeting on the temple premises has cost dear to Kodbir Temple Committee as the police have filed a case of violation of code of conduct against it.

According to the police, about 80-90 people, including JD(S) members, held a meeting at Kodibir temple at Harikantrawada in Karwar on Thursday evening.

Acting on a tipoff, the video surveillance team visited the spot and shot the meeting. The officer in-charge of the team filed a police complaint at Karwar town station, charging the temple committee of letting to hold a political meeting on the temple premises, which is violation of poll code
