Bhatkal: Assistant commissioner of Bhatkal, Sajid Ahmed Mulla has appealed to celebrate Independence day with full of enthusiasm and in a beautiful tradition as it marks the day of remembering the great freedom fighters of our nation and their sacrifices.

Presiding over the preliminary meeting for 15th August Independence day celebration event, he was speaking at Tahsildar office in the town. He instructed the officers to maintain cleanliness in and around all the government offices in the taluk on the occasion of Independence day and hoist the tricolor at various locations in the taluk. On this day, the concerned officers and staffs should be present. One need to ask permission with his senior officer, if leave is needed in case of emergency.

He asked the officers to make sure that plastic made flags are not used and also asked to decorate offices in the taluk with lamps on August 14 and 15.

Tahsildar VN Bhadkar, on the occasion, distributed the duties among various officers that are to be fulfilled for the successful programme on 15th August at taluka stadium.

On this occasion, Bhatkal CPI KL Ganesh, Panchayat officer CT Naik, BEO MR Munji, general secretary of Majlis e Islah Wa Tanzeem Altaf Kharuri, and officials of various schools and institutions were present.
