Kasaragod: A 1.5-year-old boy named Mastul Jishan was struck and killed by a car on the veranda of his own home in Uppala.

The child's uncle was maneuvering the car forward inside the veranda when he accidentally collided with the child.

Jishan was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The Manjeshwar Police Station has registered a case in connection with the incident.
