Bhatkal: A historic moment for Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Ihab Ruknuddin S/o Mujeebur Rahman Ruknuddin, a second-year MBA student, has etched his name in the annals of the institution's sports history. Ihab has been selected for the prestigious University Blue in Karate, becoming the first AITM student to achieve this remarkable feat.

The journey to this milestone began at the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) state-level karate competition held at RV Institute of Technology and Management (RVITM) in Bengaluru on December 2nd and 3rd, 2023. Ihab Ruknuddin showcased exceptional skill and determination, securing a gold medal in the Below 55kg category.

His outstanding performance not only brought glory to AITM but also earned him the esteemed University Blue title, a testament to his dedication and prowess in the martial art of karate. The University Blue is a coveted recognition awarded to exceptional athletes who excel in their respective sports at the university level.

Ihab's victory has opened the doors to new horizons as he gears up to represent AITM and VTU at the South-West Zonal Level Championship in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The championship, scheduled in the first week of January 2024, will see top athletes from various universities across the region vying for supremacy in karate.
