Bangalore: Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA) and the Environment Association of Bangalore (EAB) are jointly organizing World Environment Day 2024 on June 8th. As part of the celebrations, they will host a World Environment Day Quiz competition aimed at fostering creativity, innovation, and active participation among students. This event provides an opportunity for students to showcase their talent and engage in discussions on the impacts of climate change on soil and land.
The quiz is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in any university within the State of Karnataka. Participants must register their teams (two members) in advance and submit identity proof issued by their college.
The quiz will cover various topics, including climate change impacts, soil health, land management practices, and environmental issues. The competition will be conducted in two stages: a written quiz and an oral quiz. The written quiz will consist of multiple-choice or short-answer questions, while the oral quiz will involve live questions posed by a quiz moderator. The quiz will be conducted in English.
The top three winners will receive certificates and cash prizes: Rs. 5,000 for the 1st prize, Rs. 3,000 for the 2nd prize, and Rs. 2,000 for the 3rd prize. Participation certificates will be provided to all participants.
