Bhatkal: Twelve-year-old Falah S/o Fayyaz Ahmed MJ, hailing from Bhatkal, has been selected to represent Team India in the Under-14 category at the World Karate Youth League scheduled to take place in Fujairah, near Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Mohammad Amar Shabandri, the Managing Director of Amarsha Karate and Fitness Academy and a certified coach by the World Karate Federation (WKF), disclosed that the event will be held from February 21 to 25.
Trained at the Amarsha Academy, Falah secured his spot at the national level after clinching the first position in the under-14 category during a state-level karate tournament held in Bangalore. Subsequently, his outstanding performance at the national level karate competition in Delhi earned him a place in the international arena. Currently a seventh-grade student at BB Primary School in Bhatkal, Falah is poised to represent the Indian Karate team at the prestigious World Karate Youth League event.
The competition is set to feature athletes from various countries, with over two thousand participants across the U-14, U-17, and U-21 categories showcasing their talents.
Falah MJ, accompanied by his coach, is scheduled to depart for Dubai on February 20 to compete in the Karate competition. In a show of support, Falah's father, employed in Kuwait, will also be joining him in Dubai on the same day.
Numerous organizations and sports clubs in Bhatkal have extended their best wishes to Falah for his upcoming endeavor.
