Bhatkal: In a recent incident at Bhatkal railway station, a vigilant Konkan Railways employee demonstrated remarkable heroism by preventing a passenger from a potentially life-threatening situation as he was boarding a train. 

The entire episode was captured by the station's CCTV camera and has been widely shared on social media.

The incident occurred during the night when Train No: 10215, en route from Madgaon in Goa to Ernakulam, was making a stop at Bhatkal. As the train started moving, a passenger faced the perilous situation of slipping from the train. Yogesh Naik, a Konkan Railway Pointsman stationed at Mankuli, observed the imminent danger from the platform and swiftly attempted to guide the passenger into the train. Despite Yogesh's efforts, the passenger slipped, teetering on the edge of falling onto the tracks. Acting decisively, Yogesh managed to pull the passenger back onto the platform just in the nick of time.

Subsequently, a battery signal was employed to bring the train to a halt, ensuring the safety of the passenger. Grateful for Yogesh's intervention, the passenger expressed his thanks, acknowledging Yogesh's quick thinking and selflessness.

Yogesh's commendable display of alertness and bravery has not gone unnoticed, earning him widespread praise and admiration from netizens across social media platforms.
