Bhatkal: In a significant development for the healthcare facilities in Bhatkal, Life Care Speciality Hospital has introduced a highly advanced 32-slice CT scan machine. This machine, made in Germany, marks a substantial upgrade in the medical services available locally, eliminating the need for patients to travel to Kundapur or Udupi for CT scans.

Managing Director of Life Care Hospital, Salman Jubapu, shared this update with media persons, highlighting that District In-charge Minister Mankal Vaidya will inaugurate the CT scan machine, along with the ICU and Modular Operation Theatre at Life Care Hospital, Jali Road, Bhatkal, on Saturday, 13 July 2024. He added that a team of four fully trained and qualified medical experts, led by Radiologist Dr. Mohammed Naushad, has been dedicated to operating the new CT scan machine.

During the press conference, Salman Jubapu emphasized the hospital's commitment to providing comprehensive medical facilities within Bhatkal. "When our hospital started in March 2020, it had only 15 beds. Now, it has expanded to 50 beds. Our objective is to ensure that residents of Bhatkal do not need to travel outside for treatment," he stated.

The newly introduced modular operation theater is equipped with advanced surgical facilities, and the emergency ward ICU has been upgraded to include five beds plus one additional bed. The inauguration ceremony will feature Dr. UT Iftikhar Ali, a senate member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, as the guest of honor. Following the inauguration of the new facilities at 10 am, a formal ceremony will be held at Rabita Hall (Nawayat Colony) at 10:30 am, presided over by Mr. Yunus Kazia, Chairman of Life Care.

Yunus Kazia shared, "Our aim is to provide all necessary medical facilities locally so that the people of Bhatkal do not have to go elsewhere for their medical needs. Life Care is now the only hospital in Uttara Kannada offering comprehensive medical services. In the future, we plan to establish a 200-bed hospital in Bhatkal."

The press conference was attended by Life Care Medical Director Dr. Yasin, Radiologist Dr. Naushad, Hospital Administrator Zulfiqar, Founding Director and Advisory Member Ismail Jukaku, and several other distinguished doctors.
