Udupi: A tragic incident unfolded at Bailur, Karkala, as a 20-year-old rider lost his life and the pillion rider suffered severe injuries in a collision between a motorbike and a bus on November 27.

The victim, identified as Nagaraj (20) from Palli Kokaikallu, met with the accident while riding towards Karkala, and the bus, en route from Yarlapadi to Bailur, collided with his two-wheeler near Bailoor High School. 

Nagaraj succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the pillion rider sustained critical injuries.

Karkala Town Police has registered a case.
