Mangaluru: The Congress party will organize registration camps in Dakshina Kannada to assist eligible beneficiaries of five government guarantee schemes.
According to Ivan D’Souza, Vice-President of KPCC, the party will conduct these camps in collaboration with officials from the respective departments responsible for implementing the guarantee schemes.
D’Souza informed the media that the camps aim to facilitate registrations for the ‘Gruha Lakshmi’ scheme, which guarantees a monthly assistance of Rs 2,000 to the female head of every family from June 15 to July 15. He further mentioned that the Congress party will urge the Managing Director of Mescom to form teams for registering eligible beneficiaries under the Gruha Jyoti scheme, which provides 200 units of free power to households.
Additionally, D’Souza highlighted that the BJP in Karnataka has become inactive and is struggling to accept the welfare schemes implemented by the Congress government in the state.
