Bengaluru: Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Alok Mohan warned officials that people coming with complaints to police stations must be received. Failure to do so will result in action being taken against the responsible police personnel.
Briefing the media after a meeting with officials, Alok Mohan said that maintaining law and order in the state is their top priority. He said that measures will be taken to curb cyber crime and safety of women and children.
"We will provide additional technical training to police personnel to improve their skills in effective traffic management in urban areas," Alok Mohan said. He stressed the need to prevent traffic congestion at all locations.
The physical fitness of police personnel throughout the state will also be given attention, with actions taken to improve their overall fitness levels. Senior officials have been instructed to regularly review cases. Alok Mohan emphasized that no instances of police negligence will be tolerated under any circumstances.
