Mumbai: Former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi passed away at a Mumbai hospital on Friday after being admitted due to a cardiac arrest.
Joshi, aged 86, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hinduja Hospital on February 21 and passed away early on Friday, according to the hospital.
Joshi was the first chief minister of the undivided Shiv Sena and held the post during 1995-1999. He was previously admitted to the hospital in May of the last year following a brain hemorrhage.
