Bhatkal: Amanullah Hussain Shamali (65), the former President of Kumta Vanalli Jamaat, tragically lost his life in a road accident on Wednesday around 1 pm, near Roshan Mohalla on National Highway 66, approximately 30 km from Bhatkal.
The incident occurred when Mr. Amanullah, riding his Activa scooter from Manki (a village in Honnavar taluk) to Kumta, turned towards the highway-side mosque for Zohar namaz in Roshan Mohalla. Unexpectedly, a car traveling from Mangalore to Kumta collided with his Activa scooter.
Suffering severe head injuries, Mr. Amanullah was promptly transported to Mangalore. Unfortunately, later in the evening, it was reported that he had succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Describing Mr. Amanullah, General Secretary of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen Kumta, Mr. Mohsin Qazi, expressed that he was a benevolent, devout, honest, and prayerful individual. Engaged in a fishing net business in Kumta, Mr. Amanullah maintained positive relations with Jamaat ul Muslimeen officials, actively participating in cooperative efforts and social initiatives.
Mr. Qazi further mentioned that Kumta is mourning the loss of a dedicated and amicable individual, emphasizing that the Jamaat has lost an active member. He prayed for Allah to accept Mr. Amanullah's services, grant him forgiveness, elevate his status in Jannat ul-Firdaus, and provide patience to his grieving family.
The body of the deceased is presently at the Mangalore hospital and will be brought to Kumta following necessary paperwork and procedures. Numerous Kumta residents have expressed profound sorrow over his demise, offering prayers for the departed soul and extending condolences to the grieving family.
