Bhatkal: A man in Bhatkal committed suicide by jumping into a dam on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Vasu Naik, a resident of Mudashirali village.

The man was reportedly in debt and unable to repay his loans. His family searched for him but was unable to find him.

Later, they found his bike parked near a temple and discovered that he had jumped into the Kadvinakatta dam.

A case has been registered in this regard at Bhatkal Rural Police Station.
