Bhatkal: Due to heavy rains in Bhatkal, water continues to accumulate on the Ranginkatta National Highway and Sagar Road. On the other hand, the condition of the internal roads in the taluk has become so dilapidated that it has become difficult for vehicles to pass through.

Like other areas, the road connecting Hindu Colony to Muzammil Masjid in Bhatkal under the Jali Patan Panchayat limits has been washed out, making it difficult for riders to use this road. Similar road damage is also seen in Azad Nagar, Kogti Road, Madina Colony, Mohiddin Street, Kargedde, Bundar Road, and Dongarpalli Road.

Considering the dilapidated condition of the roads, even school tempos are not ready to go inside those roads, causing difficulties for school-going children and students.

Local people are urging public representatives, municipal officials, and panchayat members not to deprive them of basic facilities like roads.
