Kundapur: Lokayukta officials apprehended an employee from the Kundapur Forest Department's sub-division office, identified as B Manjunath Poojary, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 in Kundapur.

The arrest came after Poojary reportedly demanded the payment from Aditya, a resident of Alur, whose vehicle had been impounded by the department.

Rather than succumbing to the demand for a bribe, Aditya chose to report the incident to the Lokayukta police.
