Padubidri: A young man, Prajwal, a resident of Kanchinadka, died on the spot after being hit by a tanker on National Highway 66 near the bus stand of Padubidri town on Friday evening.

Prajwal was riding his bike towards Mangalore when a private bus stopped to drop passengers at the bus stop. Prajwal's bike hit the bus from behind, throwing him onto the road. The tanker, which was coming from the opposite direction, then fell on Prajwal, killing him on the spot.
