Udupi: An 27-year-old two-wheeler rider, identified as Rakesh, lost his life in a collision with a pickup vehicle in Ambalpady village, Udupi.

According to the police, the accident occurred when the pickup vehicle collided with Rakesh's scooter while attempting to overtake another vehicle. 

The impact caused Rakesh to fall onto the road, and tragically, the vehicle ran over him. Despite immediate efforts to transport him to the hospital, medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival.
