Special Voter Registration Campaign to be Held in Karnataka on November 18-19

Bengaluru: The Election Commission of India will conduct a special registration drive on Saturday and Sunday November 18, 19 at every polling station in the state as part of the special short revision of electoral roll-2024.

The polling officers will be present at the polling station on both days from 10 am to 5 pm and will receive applications from the public. 

Voters can directly go to their polling station and make corrections or changes, including adding new names.

If you want to add, correct, or change your name in the voter list, you can also apply online by downloading the Voter Helpline Application or by logging on to the website https://voters.eci.gov.in. Applications can be made directly by contacting the concerned polling station officer or voter registrar office. Information can be obtained by calling Election Commission of India's voter helpline number 1950 toll-free.

Young voters who are 18 years of age or approaching are given four opportunities a year to add their name to the electoral roll. January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 have been declared as qualifying days.

Voters can submit their complaints in the prescribed application forms:

Form 6 for new voter registration
Form 7 for deletion of name from the voter list
Form 6B for linking Aadhaar number with Voter ID Card
Form 8 for issue of change of address/replacement voter ID, correction of errors in the voter list, and identification of disability voters

Special Brief Revision of Electoral Roll-2024 will be held till December 9. 

Special registration campaigns for public assistance have been conducted on November 18 and 19 and December 2 and 3 on Saturdays and Sundays, as per the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer's release.
