Bhatkal: Karnataka High Court Justice and Administrative Judge of Uttara Kannada District, K. Natarajan, visited the Bhatkal court complex on Sunday morning to inspect the facilities.

During his visit, he was honored by the Bhatkal Bar Association and presented with a memorandum, in which they urged for the expedited construction of the new court complex. The Bar council also requested the establishment of an additional district court bench in Bhatkal.

In response to the request, Justice K. Natarajan stated that the proposed new building is already in the approval stage and assured that steps will be taken to expedite its construction. Regarding the additional bench for the district court, he pledged that upon returning to Bangalore, he will take action to approve either an additional bench or an interim court in Bhatkal.

The program was presided over by Ganesh M Devadiga, President of the Bar Association. M. L. Naik, Chairman of the Building Committee of the court complex, submitted the memorandum for the approval of the new building and the establishment of the district court bench. Also present at the occasion were District Sessions Judge G.S. Udayakumar, Senior Civil Judge Kanta Kurani, Principal Civil Judge Vinod Bala Naik, among others.

Senior Advocate and Notary R.R. Shresthi extended a warm welcome and delivered an introductory speech. Prior to this, Justice K. Natarajan conducted an inspection of the court complex, including the court hall, judges' quarters, and the proposed site for the new building.

In attendance were senior advocates J.D. Naik, Victor Gomes, S.B. Bommai, Nagaraj E.H., Pandu Naik, Shankar K. Naik, V.R. Saraf, M.J. Naik, Bar Association Secretary Nagaraj Naik, Assistant Public Prosecutor Vivek Naik, as well as Advocates Ravindra, MT Naik, Narayana Naik, RG Naik, Eshwar Naik, GS Devadiga, and court staff.
