Kundapur: A tragic incident at Kundapur Government Hospital on Monday has left a young family mourning the loss of their newborn, sparking outrage among the community and prompting protests against alleged medical negligence.
On November 17, the Jyoti Davanamane Srinivasa Kharvi, was admitted to the hospital experiencing labor pains. The following morning, after the delivery of the baby, the doctor informed the family of the heartbreaking news that the child had passed away.
Unconvinced by the hospital's explanation, the family and concerned villagers gathered in protest outside the hospital, alleging that the doctor's negligence was responsible for the infant's death. Their demands were clear: immediate suspension of the negligent doctor, a thorough investigation into the incident, and appropriate action against those deemed responsible.
The protests intensified, even with the arrival of the Deputy Commissioner and District Health Officer, who attempted to address the situation. Demonstrators remained steadfast, refusing to relent until their demands were met.
