Mangaluru: A case of job fraud results in a loss of Rs 2.50 lakh for a man in Mangaluru.

The man had received an email on September 27 inviting him for a job interview for the role of a manufacturing engineer (chemical) at QAPCO Qatar Petrochemical Company in Qatar.

Upon applying for the position, the individual was requested to submit various documents including a marks card, resume, salary slip, passport copy, and a Covid vaccination certificate via email. In the process, the complainant transferred a total of Rs 2.50 lakh in multiple transactions to different bank accounts.

Following the failure to secure the promised employment and the inability to retrieve the transferred funds, the victim proceeded to file a formal complaint to police.
