New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, suggesting that Modi was sent by his "parmatma (God)" to assist industrialists Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani, but not to support farmers and laborers. This comment came in response to Modi's statement in an interview claiming he was “sent by God”.

Speaking at a rally in Deoria, UP, Rahul Gandhi remarked, "Everyone else is biological, but Narendra Modi ji is not. He has been sent by his 'parmatma' to aid Ambani and Adani, but not to help farmers and laborers." He questioned, "If 'parmatma' had sent him, he would have assisted the poor and the farmers. What kind of God is this? This is Narendra Modi ji's God."

Gandhi also promised to dismantle the Agnipath scheme, pledging to discard it entirely. Additionally, he assured that the INDIA bloc government would remove the 50 percent cap on reservations in government jobs and educational institutions, and vowed to protect the Constitution.
