Karwar: A district-level sports meet dedicated to children with disabilities is scheduled to take place at the Maladevi ground in Karwar on December 3, starting at 9:00 am. Simultaneously, a series of cultural competitions will be hosted at the KDDC Hall at 2:00 pm. These events are being organized to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
In a press release, the District Disabled & Senior Citizen Welfare Officer has urged the heads of all schools catering to children with disabilities in the district to reach out to Ashaniketan School for the Hearing & Speech Impaired for the registration of their students. The registration process mandates the use of the UDID card.
To participate in these competitions, schools are required to ensure that their students are registered through the UDID card at Ashaniketan School for the Hearing & Speech Impaired. The district-level sports meet is set to kick off at the Maladevi ground in Karwar at 9:00 am on December 3, marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Additionally, cultural competitions are slated to take place at the KDDC Hall from 2:00 pm onwards.
