Karwar: In a recent meeting held at the DC office auditorium in Karwar, District In-Charge Secretary Ritesh Kumar Singh emphasized the critical need for immediate action to address the shortage of anesthesiologists in taluk hospitals. Singh urged the appointment of anesthesiologists from the Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) to essential healthcare facilities.
During discussions with officials from Haliyal, Joida, and Dandeli, Singh highlighted the recurring issue of patients requiring anesthesia support in taluk hospitals. The absence of anesthesiologists has compelled patients to seek assistance from private hospitals. To mitigate this challenge, Singh advocated for the prompt appointment of anesthesiologists in taluk hospitals. Additionally, he stressed the importance of providing anesthesiology training to other doctors within these hospitals.
Recognizing the significance of transparency, Singh directed the Department of Pre-University Education (DDPUE) and Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) to disseminate comprehensive information about the new SSLC and PU exam systems to students across high schools and PU colleges in the district.
Addressing infrastructure concerns, Singh urged district-level officers to collaborate on repairing roads in Dandeli. He emphasized the need for coordination between the departments responsible for water supply and road construction.
DC Gangubai Mankar, ZP CEO Iswar Kandoo and many officials were present.
