Mangaluru: Three persons arrested by the CCB for their alleged involvement in the illicit trade of MDMA, leading to the confiscation of assets valued at Rs 95,000 in Mangaluru.
Commissioner of Police Anupam Agrawal confirmed that the arrests took place following a tip-off regarding the public distribution of MDMA in Falnir, located within the jurisdiction of the Mangaluru North Police station.
The arrested were identified as Pramod M G, also known as Disk (30), residing on Kohinoor Road, Mohammed Rasheed M Z, known as Rashee (41), residing near Convent Junction, and Darshan S (24) from Kadagadalu in Madikeri.
Law enforcement seized 15 gm of MDMA, estimated at Rs 75,000, alongside a digital weighing scale and several mobile phones. Pramod has been linked to a murder case in Sullia, an attempted murder case in Barke, and a theft and extortion case in Madikeri town.
Similarly, Mohammed Rasheed has prior records involving theft, murder, and extortion cases at Bhagamandala and Madikeri town stations, whereas Darshan has an outstanding attempted murder case against him in the Madikeri town station.
