The first incident involved 75-year-old Mohammed Hussain Khateeb, the uncle of well-known Islamic scholar Maulana Ansar Khateeb Madani. Mohammed Hussain had traveled to Dubai just four days earlier on a visiting visa with his wife and younger daughter to meet three of his sons who reside in Dubai. He collapsed while offering the Maghrib prayer at his son's residence in Al Nahda, Dubai. According to Maulana Ansar, Hussain collapsed during the second raka'at of the prayer due to a heart attack. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he passed away two hours later. His son, Fairoz Khateeb, mentioned that his father had attended the Asr prayer at a nearby mosque earlier that day but chose to pray Maghrib at home due to back pain.

The second incident involved 36-year-old Mohammed Qutub Damudi, a resident of Bhatkal Bunder Road. Qutub, who had been living in Dubai for about ten years, also passed away on Saturday night, but the news of his death came to light on Sunday morning. According to Jailani Mohtisham, the General Secretary of Bhatkal Jamaat, a social organization, Qutub had gone for a walk after dinner on Saturday night but never returned to his flat in Bur Dubai. His concerned relatives contacted the police, who later informed them that Qutub had collapsed and died while walking. An investigation into his death is currently underway.

Relatives revealed that Qutub had planned to return to Bhatkal with a confirmed ticket for September 4. His body is currently at the Al Qiyada Police Headquarters mortuary, with efforts being made to repatriate it after completing the necessary paperwork.

According to Maulana Irshad Africa Nadvi, an executive member of Bhatkal Jamaat, the body of Mohammed Hussain Khateeb was handed over to his family on Sunday evening, following the completion of the paperwork. His funeral prayer was held at Al Qusais (Sonapur) Mosque soon after Maghrib prayer, and he was buried in the adjoining graveyard. The funeral was attended by hundreds of Bhatkali residents living in Dubai.
