Bhatkal: Two day Uttara Kannada district-level Tablighi Jamaat convention (Ijtema) commenced on the morning of December 17 after Fajar namaz and is scheduled to conclude after Maghrib namaz on December 18 at Anjumanabad Ground, Bhatkal.

Distinguished Islamic scholars from across the state, including Maulana Yunus, Maulana Aiman, and others, delivered lectures today on the topics of Islamic Sharia and the beliefs of Prophet Mohammed. The Ijtema will culminate with a grand Dua led by Islamic Scholar Bhai Haji Farooq Sahab from Bangalore.

The Ijtema is being conducted with the primary objective of awakening spiritual consciousness among both the youth and elders in the Muslim community.

Arrangements at Anjuman Ground include facilities for dining, restrooms, prayer halls, and parking space. The police have been deployed to maintain law and order, and traffic officers will be on duty. Additionally, temporary toilets and shower baths have been installed.

More than ten thousand individuals are expected to participate in the religious gathering, which will conclude with a special Dua on Monday.
