Udupi: A 13-year-old girl named Prajna and residing with her mother Kritika at High Point Heights in Herga village, Udupi taluk, tragically lost her life after falling from the eighth-floor balcony of an apartment building. 

The incident took place on Sunday morning and is suspected to be a case of suicide. 

The reason behind the extreme step is not known. 

Manipal police are investigating the case.
