Udupi: An unidentified miscreants broke into a house in Santhekatte and decamped with lakhs of rupees worth of valuables. The incident came to light when the homeowner, Solange Smita Lewis, returned from her trip to Mumbai on November 29.

Upon her return, Lewis discovered that the lock of her house had been broken and that valuables worth Rs. 1,13,800 had been stolen. The stolen items reportedly include jewelry, cash, and other precious belongings.

A case has been registered at the Udupi Nagar Police Station.
