Bhatkal: The national Pulse Polio programme will be held on in two phases in Bhatkal on January 28 and March 11, said taluka health officer Murthy Raj Bhat.

In a press release, he informed that during the drive, all children below five years will be administered polio drops. The drive will continue for four days in Bhatkal.

The department will also depute health workers to carry out door to door visit to ensure that no child is left out .There will be 16 booths in Bhatkal town area while 80 booths will setup in the rural areas of Bhatkal taluk, it added.

Release also stated that an inaugural ceremony of polio drop will be held on 28 Janauary at 8:00am in the taluka hospital Bhatkal.
