Bhatkal: As only four to five months are remaining for Karnataka Assembly elections, an attempts to create communal disturbances are in progress. Taking into consideration all these incidents in different parts of Uttara Kannada, Rapid Action Force (RAF) has arrived in Bhatkal on Wednesday.

RAF staff of 130 in numbers arrived in Bhatkal and conducted flag march on the main roads in the city together with local police under the leadership of RAF ASP R Sunder Kumar.

DySP Robin P J and Vijayalakshmi, district police additional SP Gopala Byakod and Bhatkal DySP Shivakumar were present.
