Mangaluru: Close on the heels of easing of restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the officials have decided to reduce platform ticket price from Rs 50 to Rs 10 at railway stations under Palakkad Division.

The platform ticket price will be Rs 10 per person at all railway stations.

The price of the platform ticket was increased to Rs 50 to discourage overcrowding amid the Covid-19 pandemic situation, a press release stated.

Passengers/those who are entering the railway stations are requested to follow Covid protocols such as wearing masks, social distancing, and hand hygiene, the press release added.
