Karwar: Karwar City and nearby places received rain from Monday night to Tuesday morning, affecting normal life.

Due to choked drainage, water stagnated in Gandhi market area in Karwar. This caused trouble to traders as well as customers in entering the market. The situation became worse as drain water mixed with rain water.

Rain water even entered the premises of the City police station. Many two-wheelers parked there got submerged to half level due to the standing water. Policemen had to face problems in entering the station.

Other areas like KHB Colony, Sankriwad were also affected by rain. On Tuesday evening also, cloudy weather prevailed.

Weathermen have predicted that such weather will prevail for another two days.
