Bhatkal: The number of thefts in Bhatkal is increasing day by day and the thieves are mostly targeting closed bungalows and houses which are unoccupied at the moment. Thieves have struck again at a house in Bunder Road first cross and unable to find any valuables, they have escaped with a UPS battery. The robbery came to light on 4th February, Sunday.

The house burgled belongs to Mohammed Haneef Belli, who resides in Dubai with his family. His brother Mohammed Ismail Belli takes care of his house in Bhatkal.

The police have found that the thieves had entered the house by cutting the net of the Ventilator. The thieves then opened up all the cupboards in the house and scrambled all the clothes in search of valuables.

However, the thieves were unable to locate any cash or gold in the house and hence, they got away with the UPS  from the house. Ismail informed that Few days back a mobile was also taken away by the thieves from the same house.

Bhatkal Town PSI visited the spot and registered the case. Further investigations are being conducted by the police.
