Yellapur: Save Western Ghats convention will be held at Raghavendra Math Kalyana Mantapa, in Yellapur, on July 19 at 10:30 am, Vruksha Laksha Andolan Samithi President Anant Hegde Ashisara said.

Briefing reporters, in Yellapur, he said the convention, along with workshop, will provide platform to discuss issues related to the present condition of the western ghats and forest ecosystem conservation.

Resolutions regarding environment challenges, green movement and activities to be taken up for environment conservation, will be debated at the convention.

Udupi Pejawar Math’s Viswesha Teertha Swamiji and Sonda Swarnavalli Math’s Gangadharendra Saraswathi Swamiji, will grace the workshop, on July 19 from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Environmentalists and experts will take part in the workshop.
