Udupi: In a serial road accident that happened between Bus, Car and a lorry on Monday night at around 8 pm, many people were reportedly injured. The accident happened near Pangal bridge on Kapu NH-66 in Udupi district.

According to the sources, the mishap took place when the car approaching from Mangaluru and a truck taking a U-turn near the bridge was rammed by a speeding Udupi bound passenger bus. The impact of the collision was such that the bus passengers sustained grievous injuries.

Due to the mishap, the traffic breakdown on the highway was noticed for around half an hour. Acting on the tip-off, Kapu police rushed to the spot and were fruitful in clearing the traffic.

A case has been registered and investigations are carried on.
