Mangaluru: A case of sexually assault was reported near Muduperar Arkepadavu, where two youths approached a lady and misbehaved with her on 7th March, Wednesday.
The accused have been identified as Padmanabha Gowda (32) and Santosh Poojary (20), both residents of Muduperar in the city.
According to sources, the incident occurred late night on Wednesday when the lady was on her way home from work. When she arrived near the Muduperar Church, the accused came on a bike and grabbed her after covering her mouth.
However, the screams of the lady saved her as people from nearby shops came rushing to the spot. The accused, escaped from the spot immediately.
A police case was filed against the duo at Bajpe police station.
The Bajpe police registered the case and produced the accused to the court after arresting them. They have been remanded to15 days of judicial custody by the court.
The police nabbed the accused and produced them to the court.
