Mangaluru: In a joint operation conducted by Panambur police and Mangaluru north anti-rowdy squad officers, another accused was put behind bars on Saturday in connection to the Shivaraj murder case.
The arrested accused has been identified as Manoj (39), a resident of Sadshiva Nagar in Suratkal.
The Panambur police and MNARS (Mangaluru north anti-rowdy squad officers) arrested the accused based upon credible information received on Saturday.
It is learnt that Manoj was one of the persons who instigated the murder and was absconding after the crime. After his arrest, the total number of arrests have gone up to 11.
The arrest operation was led by ACP of North Division Rajendra D S under the directions of police commissioner T R Suresh and able guidance of DCPs Hanumantharaya and Uma Prashant.
Shivaraj was murdered on 22nd January at his brother’s house in Tannirbavi where three assailants broke into the house and hacked him to death.
